ACE's innovative collection model balances our requirement for regularly scheduled athlete specimen collection with the intrusion of this process on racing, training, lifestyle and costs to the program. Our athletes have regularly scheduled appointments for collection at a time convenient to them but before any strenuous training sessions that could affect result.
During weeks of racing or training where the team's activities would interfere with presenting to the collection centers, or if there are opportunities where the team is present at a single location such as a training camp, collectors go to the team's location and deliver samples directly to the labs. All athlete samples are subjected to special safeguards to ensure that the sample is fresh and belongs to the athlete being tested. |
